Next Sunday marks the return of the coolest show on television, HBO's Entourage.
If you are a heterosexual male or a party girl or wannabe diva, you are probably a huge fan of this hit show for obvious reasons.
Apparently, even President Barack Obama has expressed that Entourage is his favorite show on television, according to Jerry Ferrara, who plays Turtle, in an interview on The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien.
Entourage takes an honest look behind the scenes of Hollywood fame, from the ups and downs to, of course, the foundation of true friendship.
Having lived three years in the very Entourage-like area of Beverly Hills myself, I can assure you that this show is a very accurate portrayal of the various douchebags who run and play in Hollywood.
However, I personally love the deeper, inner theme of true friendship that makes this show work so well.
The real star of Entourage who really wins over the audiences is infamous talent agent Ari Gold, who is played amazingly well by actor Jeremy Piven.
I have seen Piven at many of the big fights in Las Vegas, as well as at the Staples Center. Piven is a big fan of Manny Pacquiao and made the following statement after Pacquiao's big win over Hatton last May:
"He is just one of these warriors that comes around once in a lifetime, and as a fighter he seems to get stronger and stronger as the rounds go on, and to me he's like my muse. I use him as an example if I'm feeling like I don't have it. I think about Manny Pacquiao, and I go and feel it."
Movie star Mark Wahlberg is an executive producer of the show, and it has been said that the story line is loosely based on his experiences coming up to fame and fortune in Hollywood and his escapades with his close circle of friends.
Wahlberg is an even a bigger fan of Pacquiao. Wahlberg can often be seen at the Wild Card gym where Pacquiao holds his training camps. Wahlberg has even been seen out in public wearing Manny Pacquiao T-shirts.
So does it not seem obvious that Pacquiao should have a guest star part in HBO's Entourage? Both the star and executive producer are huge fans of the Pac-Man. Vincent Chase and the boys can bump into Pacquiao with his own chubby entourage, like jogging or something.
I mean, let's keep it real everyone. Pacquiao's pretty much the only boxer who has kept HBO Boxing on top these days, let alone the only boxer who makes you even give a "F" about the sport right about now.
In the first season of Entourage, Vincent and his boys attended the Vitali Klitschko vs. Corrie Sanders fight. In this episode we were able to see how big-time celebrities arrive to the fight and after parties. This was probably one of the best episodes of the series, and that is saying a lot, for each episode is pretty much an instant classic.
Why not have the No. 1 pound-for-pound champion in the world representing on the hippest show in the world? Just a thought, my powerful Entourage producers.
Also, on a more personal note, Entourage is definitely my favorite show by far. A few years ago I randomly got a call from the casting director to have a small part with a few lines in an episode, but just my luck, I was currently traveling out of state for business.
I was in Seattle on my way to Hawaii when she called me. It turned out to be the episode where Turtle was getting his Fukijama sneakers.
So to the great powers that be who handle casting for Entourage, I am back in Los Angeles, and I will drop everything for you this time if you want me to be in any episode of Entourage.
Also, if you have not yet cast the No. 1 pound-for-pound boxer in the world in an upcoming episode this season, then I highly suggest that you do, because your star and executive producer and the rest of the world are all huge fans of the Pac-Man.
